For sale is my 1953 MERCURY MONTEREY WOODIE WAGON. COOL CRUISER SOLD NEW IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA IN 1953. Was in the same family for over 56 years. 70 year old patina. Located in Visalia California Solid car- New distressed body wood- good glass- solid floors- original stainless trim- factory installed sun visor- custom window and door decals— surf board rack. Interior- nice - new door panels upholstery and kick panels- rear cargo area also has new upholstery. - new dyna mat- new carpet padding- and new bright red carpet thur- out, clean headliner- stock dash and gauges - clock- glove box- also comes with a underdash 8-Track player with FM radio- new antenna- new floor mats- new chrome outside mirrors. Tires— new radial tires 15” mount on stock painted wheels bright red, with new baby moons and chrome trim rings. Brakes- included with the Woodie comes with a new Disc brake kit with power brake booster and master, complete kit, Rotors- Calipers- Bearings- seals- hoses-steel lines- proportioning valve, and new rear shoes and hoses- brake fluid- Still in boxes. Engine— Flathead Mercury V8 Original to car, not running not sure what’s wrong. - The woodie comes with a replacement Flathead V8 seen in pictures- all dress up, engine has - offenhauser aluminum heads- Elderbrock aluminum intake- with a Holley 4- bbl. Carburetor- Headers— performance distributor— new plugs- generator- chrome hoses- and a newer replacement Radiator- Transmission replacement 3- speed with overdrive extra - also comes with extra bell housing- starter- flywheel & cover- new clutch- bearing- pressure plate- These items were crated up when I purchased the Woodie.
